Question What's your opinion on long-relationships and or online relationships.

I wanna know your opinions.

I'm a bit skeptical. I'm sure it works for some, but I don't think I could've been in a relationship like that.

I see myself as a diplomat. Got a problem with that, asshole? Huh??

It wouldn't work for me either. I need to feel it physically...

Tell me who she is, and I'll put in a good word for you. xD

Jokes aside, long distance relationships can be tough enough when living in separate cities. I don't mean to crush your dream or anything, but it'll most likely be years until you can even meet in person, unless your folks are planning on taking a trip to Norway soon.

Online relationships aren't real relationships. If you don't see a person and spend physical time with them, you don't really know them.
Long distance can work if you were together at first and the distance is only for a short period of time.

Online relationships in the long run
don't work out because there is no
face to face interaction up front. It
is nice to get to b friends online an
maybe flirt a little as long no one
leads someone on but in real dating
u get to know someone a bit better.

As long as you're both happy with it, there's no problem.
I prefer physical contact. I need a hug sometimes and that's impossible with an online relationship.

Long distance can definitely work out. A woman at my gym has been together with her husband for 10 years, and they were long distance for a long time in the beginning of their relationship. Their 10year anniversary is coming up and she’s 6 months pregnant. So yeah, long distance can definitely work.

As far as online relationships? Nah. If you don’t really know the person in real life, you don’t know who they are. They could be lying about who they are. Never done it, never will.

I can't see the point in online relationships between people who have never met, although I know that it has worked for more than just a few people.

Sometimes long distance relationships are necessary, a good example would be someone away at college, or getting a job in another city or state. I think that eventually they end up both in the same place and settle down together.

To really have something going between 2 people you need a thing called CONTACT. On-line is just words. As for a long distance one, if you are not going to get back together why bother. It is time to move on.

How long did they stay together long distance?

I couldn't do that, what is the point of being with someone if u can't see her in real, hang out together, kiss and stuff?

I personally believe in both online and long distance relationships because my dad met his (now) wife online, on a band fan group on Facebook. She lived in Italy while my dad was in the UK. They were long distance for at least a year before she moved over here, now they have been together for over 12 years, and married 4 years this year. So yeah, they can definitely work, you just need to find the right person and have effort from both sides.

sure, everybody different. I can seeing working for some crazy people.

I don't think it would ever work for me.

I don't remember where I saw it or read it, about a couple that had been together with over 7 years. Never met face to face, and never even talked on the phone or Skype. The guy found out his online gf was really another guy, and he had been cheating on him with other people online for ever 7 years. Both were virgins.

It might have been on the Crazy Dr. Phil show, where he often has super weird people.

i would say probably not going to turn into anything.

i enjoy chatting, flirting and video chatting with people online but have to keep the distinction between reality of what could lead to something down the road and just enjoying each other on the virtual world

A very blunt point, but one I agree with myself (especially when talking about online relationships)

Besides the need to actually be around and hang out (have meals, take walks, and so on) with someone, there’s got to be some kind of physical contact for me as well

I think long distance can work on rare occasions for some people. I’m not sure I could do that unless the relationship was long established before the physical separation, and it was 100% that we would be back together after not too long of a time. I couldn’t do it for years, no
