Default English improven!

Since I logged on VT for the first time (only 3 months ago) My english teacher has noticed a very big improvement in my english.
I'm grateful of course. Any others who experience this? If not great remarks from a teacher, then just what you feel about your abilities?

That's awesome, congrats! I have definitely improved thanks to participating on forums where English is used.

I see myself as a diplomat. Got a problem with that, asshole? Huh??

Keeping American and British English apart can be a bit tricky at times. xD

I'm constantly amazed at how well many of you who live outside the US are able to write in English, both in forum postings and in private messages.

Too bad your teachers don't like American English, but there are way more of us than there are people in the UK and other countries that speak the other sort of English, so I guess we rule......

Yeah, that's a British term for it. xD Although I've never spoken to anyone here from UK who've actually used that term.

I sure will. I am far from an English Teacher so I make a lot of mistakes as well. Looking at the sentence above it looks perfect.

@Natacha: Your English is excellent. I never thought about improving on a foreign language by using a forum.

re: British and American English
What the Brits call pants are what we call underpants.
And fanny...there's one to cause misunderstanding lol.
A girl I go to school with asked a woman if she could slide her fanny down the bench at a game. The woman was from England. A complaint was made .
Really kind of funny.

Danish teachers demand british english from us. Maybe it's because the grammatical rules are more determined in british, than they are in american. I'm just guessing

@Katie2003
What an embarrassing display of American arrogance; fortunately, not typical of Americans.
