depends on what you call music.
early romans are accedited with the first written music. holy men humming monotoneishlly. we know that music was an important use for worship in the early jewish chuch. why, rock and roll didnt make music. i believe hundreds of thousands of years ago wirrors chanting rythmicly to there marching made it but thats just me.
