Default Bad disorientation after waking up

Does anyone know what good cause very bad disorientation after waking up? I mean like not having a clue where I am or what's going on? This happens in the morning and after 'napping' and it never used to. It goes away but sometimes not for what feels like a long while

Are you taking any medications?
I get up disorientated sometimes.
Usually because Im groggy for a
few minutes. If you are light headed
or get dizzy when awakening most of the
time I would check with a doctor.

I agree with the others that your issue could be with medication especially if you are taking anything new within the last six months.

A lot of times disorientation can happen when one's blood sugar goes too low or if you are dehydrated. Just make sure that you have eaten enough and that you have enough fluid in your body.

I would add that make sure your sleep position is optimal. If you are sleeping in a very bad position or are not sleeping well, then that could be the result of your issue.

You have listed yourself as a girl, and you might want to make sure you do not have any hormonal issues going on which sometimes can cause all sorts of issues.

Finally, if this problem is not improving at all and you are finding it very bad, then you should discuss this issue with your General Practitioner. Just make it clear when you meet with the GP when this happens, how you feel, and how long it takes you to recover.

I do hope you get better soon.

It happens to me sometimes when I take a nap in the afternoon of 1 or 2 hours.
