Me and a friend got are first periods a day apart and had a sleep over does that count lol
The idea of a full blown party just sounds sooo embarrassing.

girl do have sleepovers and talk about stuff thought and if a girl had gotten her first period we use to congratulate them and the girls who had already had theres gave them advise and tips. that's about it tho

You deserve to live with dignity and to show people your pride.

I dont think you have to inform all your friends and your neighborhood that you got your period. This is personal...
That would be like a guy throwing a party because he got his first cum...

That's the sort of stuff that confused me and made me post this thread.

Weird imo.

Is it a thing to celebrate? I don't think..We never celebrated. It is a metamorphic change..that is all. But I know in some of the Asian countries there will be grand celebration and big parties when a girl attains puberty.

I got a big hug and my Momma cried and saying stuff about her not being ready for her baby girl becoming a woman. My Dad, being my Dad, made some joke about staying off the good furniture.

A friend of mine works at a bakery that bakes and decorates cakes for special occasions. She told me “congratulations on your first period” cakes are actually a thing parents buy. I would have been mortified.

I don’t think girls first period are like boys first cum shot. For boys it’s just something that feel good. For girls it’s the opposite. I’ve never heard of girls celebrating that but I know boys might brag about it.
