Should I tell him?

A few years back I got into some trouble with someone I met online who said he was another boy, later turned out to be a man, anyway, he got to watch me on my cam, (not sure what I can say here??), and persuaded me to get another boy over. He had no idea what we were being watched and videoed. Keep reading stuff about videos coming out and being shared and stuff and worry if someone ever recognized him from the videos the man made, should I tell him or not? Sometimes I think I should, but it was a couple of years back and I think it's easier just to forget about it, like what he doesn't know.... Don't know if he would freak out and blame me cause I knew what was happening? Maybe it's easier not to say anything and if he ever found out to say I didn't know anything about it.

do something like that again. If it was years ago let it go.

yeah i think you should tell him. dont want any surprises and then can be even worse.
btw how old were when that happened? did you guys do something more than just chatting?

Yes, u should tell him. I assume u jacked online w/ this guy. A lesson to us all is the Internet is forever. There are lots of revenge porn sites out there where guys were jackin 4 gf, they broke up and gf posted video on website. Also, guys thought they were jackin on cam 4 a girl but it was really a video and they were doin it 4 a guy. There have also been cases of guys jackin online and the guy used it 4 blackmail saying do more 4 me like have sex w/ a friend online or meet me 4 sex or I will send the vid to your parents, friends at school etc. An FBI agent spoke to our class and told us these things. Hopefully when it's time to apply 4 college, a job or u run 4 political office u have changed enough that u don't look like the video - grow a beard. And if it is posted online somewhere, probably a gay site, and someone recognizes u ask him why he is looking at gay sites. I guess if it is posted somewhere u can ask the site to take it down but they prob won't do it.

I don't know what I am allowed to say on here but you are basically there, someone who wasn't who I thought he was who blackmailed me to do more for him.

Not just girls who shouldn't do stuff like that, guys too cause you don't know if you are being videoed. I just hope nothing is on any sites. Didn't know it was so bad the FBI warned you, guess a lot of guys are being targeted like that.

If it were me, I probably wouldn't say anything at this point. It's been years and there's a very low chance that someone who knows your friend would come across such a video. And the more time that passes, this chance lowers even more. Of course, if your friend has political aspirations or to hopes become some type of public figure (i.e. an actor or professional athlete), presumably he will be under greater scrutiny at some point or other and there may be a greater chance that the video could resurface in the future, but I'd like to think that even something like that is still bound to be unlikely. Unlikely - but not impossible. At any rate, at this point I'd still probably not say anything if it were me. The only thing I'd say with certainty is - don't ever do something like that again, just a bad idea.

I've felt a bit guilty about it, why I've posting here, but think best thing to do (easiest?) Is not to say anything. No one will recognise us when we are older I hope. The videos are not gonna be on any gay sites cause of our age, don't know if there's private sites, but at least no one can search and find it.

If he ever found out and asked me, I'd just say I didn't know anything about it, guess I was hacked.

I said before dont say anything. Its been awhile
why bring it up and cause questions. This is for
everyone Dont do stuff on the web that might
leak out and get in trouble over.

And watch out cause if you do one thing you'll get asked to do another and another and get others involved, and you'll feel you have to because he threatens to send videos to your contacts.
