I Can't Take This Much Longer...

Posted August 30th, 2009 at 07:32 PM by Underground_Network

I just don't enjoy life.

I never really have.

Parts of it have been enjoyable, but nothing has made me want to 'stay.'

I can't commit suicide. But I can get what Viktor Frankl refers to as 'giveup-itis' in his book "Man's Search For Meaning." I can just give up and stop trying and just lie around and do nothing... Eventually for one reason or another I'll end up dead, or somewhere where I'll die quick anyway...

I just don't like life. I don't like trying hard, because 99% of the time I fail.

I don't like anything. Maybe making people happy works, but it's only a temporary kick... I'm happy while I'm talking to them, and then that's it... And then I just go back to feeling so worthless and so tired of life...

I'm 16 and I'm already exhausted with life. I just want out. I don't like this place (this world)... I just want to go away forever... :/

Adam, if you're afraid of failure and have the attitude that all you will do is fail, you will fail. Don't give up. I truly believe that in life, if you are trying, there is no failure, only set backs. People need to have set backs to grow on. You don't need to give up on life, you need to give up on having a bad attitude. The more positive your attitude is, the fewer set backs you will have and the more you will succeed. Just keep in mind that everyone has set backs.
