To prevent camming, etc. between you new members. Because some people come here for just that.

can't people search for the answer? I can't believe there is ANOTHER thread asking about this. is there a question and answer for this in the FAQ, may I ask?

This.
Plus it's easy to get 100 posts here, no need to complain.

Nope. But I suggested (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=97055) it, and no one thought it was a good idea to put why you need one hundred posts to PM in the FAQ.

I got my 100 posts in almost 3 days, for example. Just be active.

Surely there is, but since when people check rules or FAQ?

there should be some way users who just joined have to read the rules before they are allowed to post...:/

They will just scroll down the page and click the option "I have read the rules (Proceed to Main Forum )"

They'll get bored of that too. Besides, we shouldn't have to go through all that pointless time and effort (especially given updates to rules which may happen later) just because of some lazy newbies.

How about instead of stop complaining just answer the question
or write a FAQ thread and submit it to the mods
we were working on it but it got halted since we needed content writers and no one stepped up

Funny, I could have sworn that many moderators have said similar things or at least have posted a link to rules/other threads where answers are given. In that sense, Jess was only trying to help.
