Okay, well I've been with my boyfriend for a bit more than a year now, and I just recently lost my virginity to him. We were safe about it, but when he asked his friend to pick up some condoms for us via text, (We're two very well known people in a small community, and didn't want our parents to know that we had sex) it turned out our friends girlfriend had the phone and went around telling people. Ironicly, I'm the one being called a slut even though I've only had sex with one person, and it took us more than a year to do so! What do you guys think?

i dont think youre a slut, slut in my opinion is being in activities with numerous people.

It's a small town. That's what small town people do- They gossip. Don't let it bother you.

Indeed, haha. I think people just like to start trouble, considering 90% of the people in my school lost their virginity before they were 16, and sleep around. Personally, I think I'm doing pretty good that I'm turning 18 in a couple days, and recently lost it. Jerks xD

And Sage, I try not to, but when you're the center of attention it's rather difficult. I know I'm not, and my friends know I'm not, but sadly the majority of my school have no lives other than to harass others.

No, a slut is someone who sleeps around with more than one guy (while dating another).

I don't see how you could be a slut in this situation. Maybe she is jealous of you and if I was you I'd just forget about it. You sound like a sweet person so don't let it bother you OK?

No you're definitely not. A slut is someone who engages in sexual activity with multiple people. If you've only had sex with your boyfriend, then that doesn't make you one. It sounds to me like the other girl is jealous of you if she's going to spread those types of rumors.

Well, you said most people in your small community lost it by 16, right? So just tell that to them whenever they call you a slut for losing it with a guy (that you were with for a year) a year and a half later than the rest of them.

Also, if you're in to rock, a good way to shake off stupid gossip like that is to listen to "Still Counting" by Volbeat.

I once lived in a very small town too, in which everyone knew each other and it was all about gossip... we were all friends in there, all the teens, we knew who was slutty and who wasn't but we never really had an issue with it... we'd just hang around...
