Can administrators ban each other? If so what would happen if one of them terminated every other admin on this site without warning or explanation?

All I know is that admins can ban themselves, for shits and lolz.

I think they can actually. It sounds right.

The only thing about that is anyone who makes it to admin is highly trusted by the other admins, so the given scenario is unlikely to happen, but theoretically, I bet it's possible.

They can but there's no reason to unless an admin is being abusive or whatever

though for phpBB there is a mod that prevents banning of admins :S [might be one for vBulletin.]

On most forums, administrators cannot actually ban themselves or others. They can only change their rank to "banned." Also, the only administrator capable of banning other administrators would be whichever admin had "founder" rights. In this case, I'd assume it would be Ant and the others would be lesser-admins.
Sort of like a God, Demigod scale.

Yes. Two admins and a gmod have been banned from this site before.

Correct. While all the administrators seem to have the same rank, programming wise, every forum is required to have a single root administrator that cannot be deleted. Because Ant does so much on the technical and financial side of the site, I would assume that's him.

I don't know much about vBulletin, but the forums I work on, I know there's the root admin, but all the same permissions can be given to other accounts as well, so you could have two admins able to do the same exact things, or an all-powerful admin with other co-admins with other or lesser permissions. Yes, there's always one admin directly connected to the site, but on one side of it, there are multiple layers of permissions available on top of the set permissions for different ranks. Using our admins for an example, Steph might not be able to delete Ant, but Steph and Ronnie could do so to each other if they had those permissions.

Mhm, mhm.
As you can see, on EY I don't have 110% administrative ability. I can't allocate members, even myself, to the Founder status. Otherwise called Root Admin. I also have the inability to review any financial standpoints or appoint administrators.

Incorrect. That goes for phpBB and MyBB I believe, whereas vBulletin forum software allows as many 'Super Administrators' are you like by editing the config.php file with multiple user IDs. Super administrators are simply administrators that can manage other administrators. Furthermore, vBulletin also has functionality for super administrators to set administrator permissions, which means different administrators can be allowed access to different areas of the admin control panel.

From what I understand, the Administrator who has server access is the one who is "unbannable". I also understand that if past head administrators had server access while they were active they can become active again to take the roll of head administrator if something happened to the current head administrators
