So im getting minecraft this week!

Ive read and watched videos, but I want your views.

What Should I do first?

Why isn't there a Minecraft diary yet? It's exploding in this section.

Anyway. Like Sage said: Punch tree, get wood.

With wood make planks.
With planks make sticks.
With sticks and planks make tools.
With tools mine for better resources.
With better resources make better tools.
With better tools mine greater resources.
With greater resources make greater tools.
Build. Achieve. Thrive.
Then get killed by a skeleton, spawn too close to your nice pretty castle and have it blown to hell by a creeper.

Edit:
Oh yeah btw, don't forget torches when exploring caverns or mining in general. AND DON'T CHARGE A CREEPER. If you do, epic lulz would ensue.

I watched one or two Let's Play videos before starting, so I got the idea of how to do so. Also, I kept this (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting#Complete_Recipe_List) page open until I memorized all the recipes.

And then after i while you will have this bloody awesome crib :)

1st thing to do: build a house. Make sure the game stays on easy/normal mode though :P

If you want to ez mode, kill like 2 or 3 sheep, punch trees, do whatever u want in the morning, dig a hole when night comes, make a bed, sleep, you are a winnar.
