50 Books Not To Read. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/8408894/Not-the-50-books-you-must-read-before-you-die.html)

Sure, I agree with some of the books, but this is just fucking dumb. He has to be trolling.

23 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson
A psychedelic road trip across America makes for gonzo journalism at its unreadable best, or worst. And not as good as The Hangover.

OH MY FUCKING ATHEIST GOD YOU FUCKING STUPID BAG OF SHIT! I WANT TO FUCKING SPLIT YOUR NECK OPEN AND JUST TAKE A BIG SHIT IN YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!

Only a fucking IDIOT would ever compared that movie to this legendary book by one of the most badass people to ever live on this planet.

14 The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
See above, replacing “Leibnizian optimism” with “Kafkaesque” and “the Louvre” with “the Brandenburg Gate”.

You need to die. Please, just fucking die.

50 Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Scouting for girls.

If all you got from this book was pedophilia, you're reading it wrong. Well, obviously you were fucking reading it wrong if you put fucking Franz Kafka next to that dumbass cunt Stephenie Meyer.

50 Books you can't read and somehow Ayn Rand is not on the list, but obviously The God Delusion is. Is this some stupid joke? I wouldn't mind seeing what this guy would call his essential reading.

This is just really pissing me off.

None of those books appeal to me at all...

TWPR  The Open Book.

I'm really surprised Treasure Island isn't on the list. Worst book I ever read. Ah well, it's a matter of opinion really. I am rather fond of The Outsiders.

And what books do, exactly?

Implying you've actually heard of all fifty of these books.

Lolita? Ummm... o.o
I don't even have to read the rest of this list to know it fails.

I did anyway, and it just continues to get worse. Twilight, I agree 100%. But yes, there has to be some trolling here. Of the other ones on the list I have read, they are way off.

I find this list... strange. If I hadn't read the title I would have seriously thought that this was a list of 50 books you SHOULD read before you die.

That's totally not a narrow minded view on things at all.

Since you probably know what each one is about.

Not what I was asking.

I was asking what books you DO read.
If you even read at all.

Some that are written at a primary reading level that are found littered in the "young adult" section of a book store?

A lot of these books are around high school/college reading level actually, not that many are too hard. Unless you can't sit through 1000+ pages of Les Miserables, I don't really get why you wouldn't read the ones on the list. There are some really good books on that list. Minus Twilight, which is a 720 lexile o.O That's worse than the last three Harry Potter books, but meant for an older audience than Harry Potter. It's sad more than anything, I suppose.

It really is.

One thing I cannot stand is people who don't like to read books like these, let alone any book at all. Like the only way to wow their senses is some stimulating videogame. Or are too busy doing something completely useless, while claiming they don't have time because they are tanning or watching jersey shore. God, I fucking hate our mother fucking generation! This girl in my phleb class asked what Libya was. She had no clue. I asked "How are you in this class right now?"

We're surrounded by idiots who say "If I die, I want to be tan. So reading is out of the question."

Or they are too busy reading shit books like Twilight, or Harry Potter, or some other fifth grade reading level book.

While I agree with Twilight...the rest of the books on there are really good...well most of them are...
