This never really happened before, but for some reason whenever i try playing a game, no matter the game, after about 10 to 15 minutes, my screen is locked in power save mode. I try pressing keys or clicking the mouse to get it out, but nothing worked. It did this with Call of Duty, and Left 4 Dead. Soo.. I'm stumped. I tried looking it up online but I couldn't really find anything about it, just some unanswered questions, so i was wondering if anyone here could help me.

I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit home premium.

So is it your monitor that's going into standby, or is it your computer going into standby? I couldn't quite understand what you were saying there.
If it's the monitor going to standby, then it could be something as simple as the VGA/DVI cable shorting out. (Or it could be your monitor going out)
If it's the computer that's going to standby, could be a corrupt BIOS, or something more serious, like your PSU going out.

EDIT: Also, try updating your graphics drivers. Could be an issue with the connection being kept when in a full screen application.

I'm not quite sure if it's the monitor or the CPU, but the power light on the monitor goes amber and it says 'entering power save mode' in a blue box on screen, but I can't get out of it and I am forced to restart my computer. It's quite annoying, and I can't run system restore because every time i try i get some error message, not quite sure what it says exactly but something along the lines of 'system restore was not able to complete successfully' or something of the sort, so i'm completely stumped.

it's kinda starting to piss me off considering the only reason i bought the thing was for gaming... ugh.
