That's what I thought of asking. I have a girl I sit with in Biology and we talk and laugh together but I don't know if she likes me or not. I try to ask her out but thought it would be weird.

As has been said, it differs. It'd be stupid of you to assume that every girl's the same, right? They're all different. Only a total bitch would like a specific 'type' of guy.

However, it is far more common to see a girl who is more into one type of guy other another; for example, I know a girl who would go out with a nerd over the jock , and I also know a girl who will seemingly only date the jocks.

I personally like funny guys ^^ I can't lie, the guy has to look good too. But uhm, a guy looks better in my eyes if I notice his personality and I really like it. For example, a guy I rated as a 3 on looks could very well go up to a 7 if he's a sweet, kind guy who can make me laugh. Seriously, as long as he looks okay(no face deformations or really weird facial features) and makes me feel special that's all it takes. I'm speaking about what I like since I can't answer what EVERY girl likes, lol x)

Well, this isn't really amazing advice either. You have to remember that there are some 'types' of people that nobody wants to associate with – that is, people who are genuinely annoying (you know, the nerdy kids and teacher's pets who never stop talking about shit nobody cares about) or assholes. If you're really determined to get a girl, you'll probably want to clean up your image just a bit so that people will find you easier to make friends with.

I'm not calling you an annoying person, but if you are, this is good advice to heed. It's just stupid to ignore the suggestions of your peers and continue being unlikable (if the people around you think you're unlikable); that's not going to get you anywhere in life.
