this poem i wrote may seem familiar to you guys. Maybe cause a lot of ppl have written about the same subject as i did, but in this one, i will show u my view of it so enjoy and hope you like it :)
I never took a sip
On that party we went
The night before
But I swear to you Mom
We were just fooling around
We didn’t know it was wrong
Me and my drunken friends.
Partying all night
With that house with the beer
I don’t know why he had that there
But Mom I swear to you
I never took a sip.
We go into her car
Right after the booze
And we took off at midnight
She was the drunken one
I was the clean one
I shouldn’t have let her drive.
It was nearing at one when we saw the lights
My life flashing before my eyes
I closed my eyes and held on tight
I received a hit
And remained unconscious
Bleeding and dying.
I wake up several days later
To the hearing of doctors and nurses
I hear them talking
What are the saying, Mom?
Am I going to die today?
I don’t know why it happened
I shouldn’t had let her drive
She’s fine and I’m dying
The passengers on the other car,
What happened to them?
I tell the nurse to tell you, Mom
That I never had a sip in that party
But please forgive me
I shouldn’t had let her drive
I’d still be alive here
Enjoying your warm hugs at night
And now I’m sitting here
Enjoying my last thoughts.
I’m sorry Mom
I loved you always and forever will
Don’t let my brothers cry
And never forget me
And Mom I swear to you
I never took a sip.
I never took a sip
On that party we went
The night before
But I swear to you Mom
We were just fooling around
