So, where I live, we have this thing called "christian school". You basically have to come to the Christian School like once a month and take part in other stuff, so you will be confirmed as a true member of the church, so you can get married etc.
Basically everyone takes part in it when they are 14.

So, today, we had a meeting which was supposed to end at 7 pm. So, my mom came to pick me up from there. So, it takes a lot longer than 7 pm so she needs to wait. We are all gathered up in the room with my whole class. My mom gets out of the car and starts walking around. Then she comes to the window to look at me and all my classmates are like "Who's that weirdo in the window?" and shit like that. So, after a while I told them it's my mom and then they are like "Oh, okay...".

Then my mom picks up a phone and calls my dad. The window's not so soundproof and everyone can hear her talking at my dad on the phone and everybody starts laughing. So, after that she calls me! So, I answer and she's pretty pissed and asking "When will your thing end? It's been taking a lot longer than 7 pm". So, the youth counselor who was with us told me to stop talking in the phone and I turned the phone off. We were in the middle of a fucking prayer there! Couldn't she tell it from the way we had crossed our fingers and were talking with our heads down? Geez. So, everybody's laughing at me now. After it ended, everyone was teasing me about it and so on.

I think I'm not gonna go to school tomorrow. I mean, doesn't she understand that her children will get teased if she acts like that in front of their friends? Geez, I thought parents like that only exist in fictional comedy TV series. Well, I'm sure that I will be teased for a long time. I feel like raging at my mom, but I just can't. Thanks mom, you really made my fucking day!

Just laugh with them. Getting embaressed is part of life, and you can't avoid it. Parents are SUPPOSED to embaress you. Believe me, my mother had to come to my High School once and you know how I knew she was there? I heard her singing "I'M Kelly ***** Mother! OH YES OH YES THATS MEEE!" really really loudly. It was horrifying. Everyone busted out laughing and I thought I would die. But instead, I got up and left and walked down the hallway singing it with her. Just for the pure fact that no one really messes with you if you just make fun of yourself a little bit.

It's part of growing up, and that's a fact. You'll figure it out one day. Those kids, their parents are just as bad. Just smile and say, "Yep. You should have seen what she did last week!" when they bring it up!

You don't need to be a 'full member of the church' to get married dude.

Have you tried sitting down and having a cool, calm and collected chat with your mum about what happened? If not, try doing so (just make sure you don't get angry and remain tactful in what you say).

Chegu3r, you are right. I was supposed to say that you need to be a "true member of the church" to get married in a church.

Well, I think I'm getting over this incident, but let's see what school brings tomorrow...
Might be even worse. I mean, the people there are not laughing because they think it's funny, but most of the people laugh because they want to be mean and they will be spreading info about what happened to people who will be even meaner about it. I heard people calling me a mamas' boy and such when I left the place and I don't think I will be able to keep my head cool if I have to go through something like that tomorrow in school. But yeah, my friends aren't the ones being mean like that but anyone else.

Sort of reminds me of a project I had to do at the age of 10. My parents had filmed me talking about my project, originally saying that they were just going to send it to family friends. But they ended up sending it to my teacher too. My teacher played it in front of the whole clas, and I was so embarrased. The class starting laughing and everything. Everyone forgot about it after a few days though, so I'm pretty sure it'll be fine. Hey, eventually you'll even laugh at it with your firends. I laugh about what happened to me. It'll be all good :)
