Monday, I learned my dog had to be put down.
Today is the day. 4O'clock. I'm torn between hysterical and numb. Right now it's numb.
I don't know what I'm gonna do. That dog. was my lifeline for years. and I'm loosing her. She's only 8.
I know she's is in pain and she needs to go now, but still I want it to be OK again. To when she was just a little stiff even. Not going fucking paralyzed.

I want to cut, so badly. =| I don't think I will, but god. I want to go into the bathroom cupboard and find my cold meds. Sleep through a few days, let everything fucking go away.

IDK what I want from this.

(on an iPod touch. ignore weird typos)

I know what it's like to lose a pet. It's really hard to get over. I'm so sorry you have to go through this, but remember the happy times you had with your dog. :) If you hurt yourself, however, it's only going to make the pain worse. Send love from me :D

same thing happened to me a couple of months ago when my dog had to be put down its a sad time but you just have to remember the best moments with you dog, and remember he loves you very much whatever happens

I seriously can't imagine being in your situation. I lost my guinea pig a year ago in January, it was awful. Though I was quite connected to her, it wasn't quite the same as, say, a dog or cat. I feel the same way you do about my cat though. He was an early birthday present that my parents got me a couple years ago when I was in a really bad place mentally. He's pretty much everything to me, a really good friend, the son I will never have, etc. I can't imagine losing him, and I hate to think about it. But I know it will happen eventually, it's just a matter of time.

My heart goes out to you. It'll be tough, but eventually the pain will go away and you'll be left with some fond memories. You'll still miss her, but it won't be so bad any more.

If you think you'll really have trouble, I might request a replacement. Not exactly a replacement, but just a new pet to lessen the focus you have on her until you are in a better place. It doesn't even have to be a dog if your parents aren't up to it, maybe a ferret or something even. It's just a suggestion really. Keeping yourself occupied is all that matters.

Thx Rith, but I don't want a new dog. Partially because my parents want another shepperd. I want to get a mutt next time, less chance for these purebread diseases like this spinal thing (paired with her liver and pancras being tumors)
