Zune

So, I just bought a brand new Zune and I got it today. Usually something always goes wrong, and just as I had suspected, something did.

The USP cable isn't reading on, well, anything. I tried it on the Xbox, on a wall-USP charger, and on my laptop.

Do you think that the Zune is defective? Do I need a new cord? Or am I being stupid and missing something that's key in the whole start-up process?

Welli have a ZuneHD and i dont have problems like that, maybe its deffective.

If the Zune is dead, as in: it won't turn on. Leave it plugged in for a while.
If the Zune is on when you plug it in, it's possible it's the cord that has an issue. See if there's anyone you know that has a Zune will let you borrow their cord to test. If a cord you know works, doesn't work with your Zune. Then yeah, it's most likely the Zune that has an issue.

Sounds like the cord. First try a different cord. If that doesn't work, just leave it plugged in for a while, and if it still won't it's most likely the Zune itself.
