i was wondering,is there anyother way of treating depression without meds, docs, most inportantly not telling parents. in an other post in another threat i was told i had depression ( how great) but i dont really like to talk to my parents, i would prefer to go the whole day without talking to them (infact i dont talk to them much anyways i just sort of mumble) so is there any way for my 'depression' to go away without me having to tell my parents?

thanks.

No that is impossible, in order to treat depression you need to talk about it. You dont have to have meds to cure depression, but they help greatly - but you HAVE to talk about it.

There are homeopathic ways. Make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals. Vitamin B12 is important and can be found in vitamin B complex. St Johns Wort is also supposed to help. The impact they make however is not tremendous and can't be spotted for a few weeks at least.

I am in no way saying that these things will cure you, nor that other avenues should not be pursued. It may not even be a lack of vitamins that is causing you to feel this way, in which case this route won't have any impact. It is not proven 100% to help.

I think counselling or therapy from a school psychologist would be your best bet though. You can do whatever you want with those sessions. You don't even have to talk. You could just use it to have some quiet time. And that way, when you do want to talk there is someone there who will be able to help.

It is a shame if you don't try any of it. At the very least try the vitamin B complex.
