ocd and cocain HELP!

Hey guys,
So my girlfriend's brother suffers from ocd and is using cocain as well
He had quit two years ago but he used recently and nearly overdosed
Has anyone been through this? I would really appreciate some advice, her family doesn't know what to do to help him, and neither do I...

Does his parents know? Well, if he relapsed then it's a big deal and addicts on coke can't really hide that their using that well. Someone will notice and he'll have to sober up again. Personally, I'd confront him and tell him what I've been told a damn long time; If you keep using your future leads to death, institutions, or prison. None of them are fun. So he needs to either get to detox, get to rehab and get clean or live one of those three out. Maybe he'll live all three. That's something nobody wants to do. Well, any rational person wouldn't want to go through any of that. Good luck.

yes they know about it, but I guess they are afraid of confronting him. I believe he also knows everything that could happen, but can't let go of this addiction..

Hmm...tbh, I don't really know how having OCD is relevant to overdosing on coke, but here is my answer: I think he should go see a doctor that can help him get over his addiction...maybe his parents can hide the coke or keep his money for him so he doesn't spend it on that?
