Do you take them or tend to avoid them? Which are you taking this year? Next year? Have a favorite/least-favorite? Discuss it here.
I'm in 3 this year and planning on 7 next year.

I avoided AP classes because I didn't want to do the extra work. Next year I'm taking two or three, along with some for-fun-and-hardly-any-homework electives to balance the work out.

I took two last year (Chemistry and English and Composition) and got 5s on both tests, and I'm just taking AP Calculus this year. I loved my AP classes last year because the teachers were amazing, but my AP calc teacher isn't the best. He's too smart and doesn't always reach down to our level. Plus he hasn't done any AP preparations with us yet (we started preparing for the AP test on day one on chem and English), and the entire class feels very unprepared.

Lol, so true. Representin' my 2!
I'm in AP World right now. Next year AP U.S., then the next year AP Gov/Econ and AP Calc and AP Lang.
AP World, I believe at my school, has less work to do than the kids in Honors. It's funny. And it's supposed to be our hardest class at our school. The only thing that would make it hard is it's one semester (18 weeks) compared to every other school in in the U.S. that has it all year around.

If you take AP Calc, make sure it's IB.
IB covers Calculus I in depth.
BS covers Calculus I, II, and III.

AP is great, but make sure you're up to it. Could be difficult at times, and if you don't like getting bad grades sometimes then you might wanna think twice. I'm taking three AP classes, too, and hopefully I maintain good grades. :P

We have AB and BC at my school.
Our school only offer Calculus AP, so fuck if I know the abbreviations.
They likely are AB and BC here as well, we were only recently told by our Calculus teacher that we were taking a harder form of AP Calculus than we had previously though.

AP World is one of the toughest at my school.. followed by AP Calc, AP Lit, and AP Bio..
I love APUSH mostly because there arent any Chinese dynasties to memorize..
I'm taking one online AP this year and one next year just to boost my GPA/show colleges I'm not afraid of a challenge

My school is very small and we don't have that many AP classes. :(
Right now I'm taking AP Bio, and AP US History. Next year I'll be taking AP English and AP Calc. And those are the only AP classes we have, haha.

This year is the first year I've taken AP classes. U.S. History and AP English III, have been very rewarding and interesting for me, but AP Computer Science I has been a pain in the *** for this semester, so I'll take a break from that next year and try learning how to make video games in college.
Next year, the following AP Classes I want to take are:
AP Economics (Year)
AP U.S. Government/AP World Government (1st Semester/2nd Semester)
AP English III (Year)
An AP Science Course (Year, haven't decided)

I'm currently enrolled in AP Literature and Composition, AP Government and Politics, College Spanish III, College Principals of Engineering, College Mechanical Drafting, College Civil Engineering and Architecture, AP Physics and AP Biology.
Next week would have been hell, but I was an idiot and lost my AP Test forms... Go me, wasted two semesters in all of these classes for Ø college credit. Awesome. But I will at least have an easier time (re)taking them in college.

for some reason, (our school puts us either into AP or not, we dont choose) im taking all my classes in AP this year (yikes)
its not too bad and looks good on a college application, but you might just end up doing IB calculus in eighth grade like me.
