Father Of "Jessi Slaughter" Busted For Child Abuse

MARCH 25--The father of “Jessi Slaughter,” the 12-year-old girl who last year became the victim of a vicious online swarm, was arrested last month on a felony child abuse charge for allegedly punching his daughter in the mouth during an argument, The Smoking Gun has learned.

Gene Leonhardt, 53, was busted for striking his daughter Jessica, who told Florida cops that she had been arguing with her father when he “punched her, causing her to have a bloody and swollen lips.”

According to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report, a deputy stated that, “I did see that just inside the victim’s mouth on the right side were minor cuts which would be consistent with the victim’s statement. I also saw blood on the victims mouth and chin area.”

When questioned by police, Leonhardt said that he had “slapped” the child after she punched him in the mouth. He also claimed that Jessica, a seventh grade student, “was wearing ‘theatrical blood’ which he stated the victim had put on.” Leonhardt is pictured in the above mug shot taken following his February 17 bust.

Jessica’s controversial YouTube videos last summer initially drew the scorn of 4chan.org denizens, who then triggered a wave of online bullying and retribution. In the midst of that campaign, the girl filmed a teary response in which she said that her anonymous tormentors “have ruined my life.”

Jessi was not a victim, what she did was make a complete fool out of herself and 4Chan and Encyclopedia Dramatica rightly exposed her wrongful actions. I have no sympathy for her because of previous actions.

I don't agree with Gene punching Jessi in the mouth during an argument, AKA physical attack, but Gene really should have realized that her daughter was not a victim of cyber bullying, but made the wrong decisions in defending her, because it was her choice to be an attention *****. Punishment from the computer or stuffs she likes to do should have occurred for sure.

OMG I just watched a video of her, and I can't stand her already!!!! In the video, she addressed it to her haters, and she said" Haters, back off! First of all, I have two friends who look pretty dang good without make-up on at all, they both have flawless skin (which makes me jelous of them :( ), and their eyes don't need eye liner to make them stand out.....

Second of all, I doubt anyone is jelous of her. I know I'm not.

I guess I feel a smidge of sympathy towards her, not a lot though. No one deserve's to be abused, no matter how annoying, self centered, and mouthy they are.

Jessi Slughter seemed like she had an excellent relationship with her father when I watched the vids...he stood up for her. Ok, I'll bring up my previous example once again because people do not care to read. If the parents of one of your friends abused them, would you say that your friend deserved to be abused? I'm sure you wouldn't; you would stand behind them and do your best to stop the abuse. Or maybe you're like plenty of others who just ignore it. So what really - and I stress this part - how exactly did she "deserve" getting punched in the mouth by her father? And please think this over carefully. If you really believe that she meant everything in her videos, claims of having an older boyfriend/any boyfriend at all, or even posting nude pictures, then you've already proven my point (which is stated later if you can't be bothered to read). Fact of the matter is that she felt like trolling everybody. She did and paid the price. Hopefully she learned from that, but we can't say that for sure.
