I recently got my Blackberry Pearl 8120 through a friend, so I have no Data Plan.
I read, if you have WiFi, and download Opera mini, you can use the internet for free, as long as you connect to a Wifi Signal.
Today, i just clicked the Blackberry's Browser, simply entitled 'Browser' and it connected to the internet, and could play Youtube Videos, unlike Opera Mini.
Using the Browser that was already on the phone, and Wifi, will I be charged Data Usage?
Added info: I use T-Mobile.

Wi-fi doesn't cost anything. I browse the internet on my ipod touch through wi-fi all the time.

You shouldn't. I do the same as Sage, on my iPod.

As long as it was connected through WiFi, you should be fine.

It really depends, cause I had a blackberry bold 9000 for at&t and i didn't have a dataplan but i could still access the internet (but it would charge me per kilobyte)

I would connect to my home wifi and go on the internet, but my phone decided to use at&t's 3G network instead of my wifi, so I got a lovely $90 surcharge for data in that month. Ever since then my parents completely blocked my use of data so that my phone wouldn't be able to do that.

If you don't wanna have to pay surcharges for data, make sure your data is completely blocked OR make sure you don't use a BlackBerry Bold 9000 on At&t haha,

Without data, I can't even get pic/audio messages. AT&T, those bastards.
