Hi, has anybody ever been abused in any way by their doctor/dentist/other? Or do you have a friend that has?
What happened?
Did you/they report it?

I know of that sort of thing happening in psych wards. I've witnessed a bit of it as well. Not as common in the short term juvenile wards, but the adult wards a bit... ugh. Especially back in the day, it doesn't happen as much any more, but back when asylums were for getting rid of your wives and children, doctors would take advantage of patients all the time.
Anyway... of what I've seen of it, no, it's been unreported and never spoken of again. But psych wards are a bit... iffy when it comes to that, because a lot of the time no one believes you because you're insane, after all. >.>

Really?
If someone did that in England I'm pretty sure they'd be struck off.

I haven't, I'm just wondering about the power of authority... :(

I hate to be a downer, but there's no one you can truly trust just because of who they are. Don't freak out about it too much, but things can always happen despite whether it's unlikely or not.

Hi KingCharlieIV,
Can't believe the doctor is still practicing. Didn't those women take any action against him?
I think some action should be taken against him so he won't even think of repeating this again.

one of the doctors I've been to just always used to say that I should lose weight. it was sooo annoying. I'm not obese at all, just a little overweight and I went to her because I have thyroids problem not to listen that crap.

I haven't been abused but my doctor tells me that I'm overweight every time I go in. He tells me if I've gained any weight since last time and that I should lose 50 pounds. He also measures my belly fat with little pincher things.
