I think that when you get older, and you're still a teenager-ish [15/16+], games like tag and duck duck goose and heads down thumbs up become more of a fun thing to play with your friends because it's just being silly. Also, like I said, HELL NO [you're not to old to play Pokemon]

Hell, I'm a freaking Pokemon.
As a ton of other people have mentioned, you're never too old for Pokemon. Or any game for that matter...
(Well...maybe not every game.)
Competitive Battling keeps me playing and adds a more "Mature" aspect to the game I think.

Too young? You are too old to be playing pokemon, hombre.
At your current age, I was playing 'for mature' games, and even some of the banned games.

I can always remember the time when my dad confiscated my Gameboy Colour as a kid and when I got it back, turned on Pokemon Blue and found a new save with Squirtle named "Dumb shit" a Caterpie named "slimy fuck" and he caught a paris called "Piss pot" too
Yup, you're never too old for Pokemon.

I'm 14 I still play it
My brothers 22 he plays it on occasion.
I'm a huge sports guy, I hardly ever play video games, I just love the game.. nbd
My brothers a fairly accomplished guy with a really hot gf  (not that thats important but f***k she is.. xD) With his own stable income,
its not just a game its like really popular legend/whatever you want to call it. Point being a variety of people do still play it.
And regardless of what anyone else does you should be proud to say you still play pokemon and enjoy it, you are who you are don't change it because you think other people wont like it.

But not pokemon. It's for everyone to play. :D

I know Matt of course does, and I play (well I don't play much at all any more, but I used to be very into it, and I did get the new game but it isn't as appealing as other games I've gotten recently). As well as the rest of the evidence brought forward, you're definitely not too old. The only time I would think it really weird is if the gamer in question is fifty. o.O I mean, someone like that being a pokéfanatic would freak me out just a bit.
I did outgrow it quickly though. It doesn't help when you're exposed to the game Diablo at age nine, it's a huge boost to your game taste. Not that pokémon is a bad game, it's just a mild game franchise as far as content and game play.

Video games are the devil and should be condemned.
Jk
That's what the ESRB is for. Nobody's going to come after you for playing a game you're legally allowed to play.

Woah, what? how does that work! How do you get pokemon for PC! :yeah:
Download DeSmuME (http://desmume.org/download/).
Then Search Pokemon [Insert Version Here, Platinum, Emerald, Red, Black, etc] ROM or read only memory. You have to torrent it, however. So The Pirate Bay is a good choice. µTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/) is a decent torrent program. Winrar (http://www.rarlab.com/) or 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) may be needed to open and extract some torrent files if they're in .rar compressed archive format. After you get the files exported to a select folder on your computer, open DeSmuME and open the .NDS file. You can now play Pokemon on computer. X=A, Z=B.
A Patched English version of Pokemon Black (http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6216784/Pokemon_Black_and_White_%5BNDS%5D%5BEnglish%5D%5BPatched_ROM%5D%5Bwww.consolas) can be found here.
I bought the game for DS, but it's hard on my eyes so I typically use a ROM emulator for the larger screen of the computer.

You need a decent computer for a DS emulator.
DeSmuME isn't that bad, actually. If you have a decent CPU. Or 4 of them.

Any Nintendo DS game you can find.
Although finding a patched White version might be tricky.
if it's not on the Pirate Bay, it'll be quite the challenge elsewhere thanks to legal issues on download hosting sites.

You are never too old for pokemon. Half of my Junior Class, 16-17 yr olds, brought in our DS's for like 3 weeks after Black and White came out and played in the morning before school started. My entire homeroom had pokemon discussions while the teacher did attendance, etc.

Honestly, the games never get boring for me.
Even though fifth gen was a slight dissapointment (boring music, lack of old moves (T-bolt, Ice Beam, etc), I still have the time and will to play them
Personally, 3rd gen is my fave, due to the nostalgia and the musics ^^... That, and LeafGreen was my first Pokemon game ever.
Thanatos
June 26th, 2011, 06:36 PM
2nd gen is my favorites easily. Chikorita, Totodile and Cyndaquil will forever be the greatest starters. I never evolved any of them, except for the one Cyndaquil I let go to a quilava and kept there.
