There have been some questions about shaving the underarms, and I am posting to clear it up.
1. Buy a razor with a connector that moves back and forth, so it can easily glide over the curves of your arm. If you get a razor with a solid connector with no joint, you are more likely to get cut.
2. Buy a shave gel for sensitive areas, such as face shaving cream. Your underarms are more delicate than your legs.
3. Do not shave dry. It is best to shave in the shower, when your skin is wet. This also prevents cuts.
4. Coat your underarm with shaving cream. Gently slide the razor over the desired area. Do not go over places you have already shaved without applying another layer of shaving cream.
5. After shaving, apply lotion to minimize itching.
Alternatives to the razor-
As an alternative to shaving with a blade-razor, you can buy an electric one. The electric razor normally has a hole-covered metal peice covering the blades so your hair can get an easy trim without the risk of cutting yourself. Remember, clean the razor out after you shave a couple times!
