I am obsessing over my jawbones. They're currently quite non-existent (figuratively)and I do not like that. I'm a filipino so that's asian, and asians aren't known for their really big prominent jawbones. I guess I kinda answered my question?? Anyways, I just want to ask, did any of you see a change in for example the width or prominence of your jaw bones, as you progressed through puberty? If so, how big of a change was it. Also, did any of you get anything done to your jawbones, or teeth (ex. braces) that changed your jawbones?

edit: Did weightloss also make your jawbones more prominent? How much did you have to lose?

If you lose weight, your jawbones will be more prominent and that's pretty much the only thing I can think of.

Unless you wanna go around with your cheeks sucked in, looking like a fish. If you value your dignity, I suggest going with the weight loss.

Jan, don't worry about it. They might come out more, they might not - either way there's nothing wrong, and no way you can change it. Like any other part of puberty it can come at strange times. There's nothing to stop your jaw developing in your twenties, in fact it's quite likely - I believe it to be one of the later stages of puberty (why do you think most orthodontic treatment is done at about age 13?)

Well, we don't know for sure if it will turn out the way you want it to be. And during puberty, a boys shoulders become more broad. And his bones become more thicker. So I think you should wait until the end of puberty and see where you are.
