Dont take any of these even if your asked from a doctor, i stop taking mine because i felt like sleeping all the time and it didnt do anything, now i have problems with memory and remembering thing's DO NOT TAKE IT.
Symptoms will differ between two people depending on their age, weight, gender, diet, physical activity, pretty much anything can change how the medication affect you. Do you have specific questions?

I totally agree, I was put on my medication back in 2nd grade I think and now I am a straight A student, I used to have D's and F's. My medication has helped me a lot.
Also the only medications that they can treat ADHD with are either stimulants, non-stimulants or depressants. If you were on any of these they should raise your emotions and there is the possibility of becomeing drousey but it all depends on who you are.

I took ADD medicine (cant remember what it was but I think it started with a V) and I was SUPER drowsy all the time. I felt like a zombie and my teacher would send me to the clinic every now and then because I wasn't acting normal... Thank God I'm not on that crap anymore. Every type of ADD medicine I took pretty much had the same results.

I take 50mg Vyvance. It helps me alot with my concentration but I had to go through about 5 different ADHD medications to find one that didn't have bad side effects. Everyone is different on how they react to different ADHD medicines.

i used to take concerta once and it was terrible, i felt sick all day... then i took equasym but they don't produce it anymore, so now i'm on ritalin... maye it's just because of my weird eating habits and stuff (it influences the effects a lot sometimes), but i don't feel anything. neither better concentration nor side effects.

I still take Concerta for my ADHD. I'm actually on the maximum amount for an adult (72mg). If I don't take my medications I get extremely impulsive, hyper and I can't concentrate on my classwork.
As for side effects, I honestly can say that I have only experienced nausea but only on an empty stomach.

I've taken both. Concerta works better in my opinion. However side effects of both suck.

my brother was advised to take ridilin or whatever its called, then we realised the intense side effects like hunger and not eating so we had to terminate his medication IMMEDIATELY

Me, too. I now take 20 mg Vyvanse (used to be 50 mg). It lasts longer than Adderall and doesn't get me all strung out. Also, there's less abuse potential with Vyvanse, which is kind of important for me. If I don't get my script filled in time and I'm out of medication for even a day, I'm very irritable and lazy. I can barely do anything. But before I started taking stimulant medication, I didn't get much done anyway...

Yeah I prescribed myself a good kick in the ass too. It worked until I got to college level material - then the BSing and pushing myself through things weren't enough to pass. IMO, most ADHDers can get through high school level (and sometimes even college level) if they've got a survival instinct and enough creativity. Once you're past that, however, a deeper level of understanding is demanded, and this requires the concentration that ADHDers struggle to control.

How exactly is Vyvanse not abusable? I've heard this before but don't understand it. I'm currently taking Adderall but I might switch meds this summer.

Well, for me personally, Vyvanse provides less of an amphetamine buzz than straight d-amphetamine (as in Adderall), so there's less of a desire to abuse it in my case. Plus, Vyvanse causes dyspnea (feeling short of breath) if I take considerably more than I'm prescribed. But Vyvanse (lisdexamphetamine) is only active orally, so snorting or injecting the drug is useless. That's why you've heard that it has reduced abuse potential.
Vyvanse lasts a lot longer than Adderall, so that's one pro. It costs a whole lot more, though...

I don't know how much of an "amphetamine buzz" I get from my adderall; I definitely know when it kicks in though. I wouldn't mind a more reliable med to be honest, the adderall works sometimes but other times it just completely puts me to sleep. I do like how I can take it when I need it though - I'm afraid some other meds' ability to last a long time wouldn't benefit me because I don't always like to be medicated for the entire day.

"If it ain't broken, don't fix it," right? In my experience, psychiatric medicine is a whole lot of trial and error. So if I were you, I wouldn't even bother trying a different medication unless I felt that the Adderall wasn't working. And if you're in school, then you know you can't risk more than a day or two without a drug that works for you.

Oh boy, you should see me when I forget to refill my script for a couple of days. "All over the place" is the perfect way to describe it - school is a bore, work is a mess, I return to my normal obnoxious self. The adderall is definitely spotty at best, though; it works, but there are definitely times when I've been put to sleep from my pill. I'd like something more reliable, but I don't know how achievable that is with these types of medication. I might try out something else over the summer, when there's not so much riding on my performance.

I've heard of this med, but don't know much about it. Is it a stimulant? I don't know many people who take it, so I'm just curious.

Or maybe you just don't have ADHD? It is overdiagnosed, and IMO one's reaction to meds is too often overlooked during diagnosis. Typically there's obvious signs + an obvious calm when an ADHDer takes a stimulant. For instance, I used to drink caffeine as a child to fall asleep - a few glasses of Diet Coke does the trick for me.
This obviously doesn't apply to all who have ADHD though, and you could very well be one of those special cases (I know quite a few brilliant people with ADHD who don't take meds). Just food for thought.
