Dangers you might not expect: Emergencies to avoid

We are aware that heroin overdoses can be fatal, that LSD can lead to bad trips, and that drinking while driving can lead to fatal accidents. At the same time there are many lesser known drugs or combinations of drugs that can lead to very negative experiences or physical danger. While understanding that there will be some negative impact, we might not know exactly how intense this impact might be.

This thread is to post warnings about drug use that people might not be aware of. Help others learn about the risks of certain lesser known drugs, of specific combinations of drugs, of drug use in certain circumstances, and any other important issues. Post your own warning regarding substances that people may not fully appreciate the risks of, identifying sources is very much appreciated.

When you do ecstasy, you are not doing just MDMA. In fact the pill that you swallow may not have any MDMA whatsoever.

The website www.ecstasydata.org shows the results of tests conducted on pills submitted to various laboratories. As you may notice many of the pills have a variety of substances other than MDMA present. Many of these are more dangerous than MDMA, and regardless pose a problem if you are not prepared to deal with the side effects and interactions of these often unknown substances.

Some of the pills seem to only contain MDMA as an active ingredient. Although I would be skeptical of using the list as a guide to pure pills as I suspect some distributors may brand their pills with the symbols with good reputations.
