This is pure bullshit. What rights do they have to attack Libya? In a month we'll have US Marines there, and the Supreme Empire of US will expand it's borders.

That's life, man - the big fish eats the small fish and the cycle goes on.
Oh, and I see a red alert remake.

Nah man, you're overreacting. Obama seems reluctant to take the lead on this issue, it's the EU and Arab League that are really pushing the no-fly zone.
While I don't agree with the UN decision to intervene, I don't find it horribly inappropriate nor do I think there's anything the West can do besides willfully enforce it.

Too bad Obama and Hilary Clinton have both said no ground troops and that France and Britain are the ones leading it. We're just helping. And God forbid anyone try to protect civilians who aren't rebelling from getting killed by air strikes and artillery fire. This is the people being attacked by its own government. The UN want this to stop. I'm glad we have a presence in Libya. Civilians shouldn't die.

Civillians are dying. We're all humans, that's reason enough.
I watched Cameron's "speech" on it live, I like the "It's legal" bit in the middle.

No ground troops? Who would need ground troops when you have tomahawks that kills pro-Gadhafis and civilians alike?

You said we are going to deploy marines there. Definitely not. We are enforcing a no-fly zone. Get off your America is an empire fetish. The Libyan rebels have been asking for people to help them and France, Britain, Canada, Italy, and the U.S. are helping thus far. It's a coalition. America is not the only one involved. Get that in your head. You are making it seem like America is the only one there. France is doing air strikes. And the Arab League is getting involved. The U.N. has sanctioned this no-fly zone. The rebels have asked for this help. They've been asking for it for weeks. Gadhafi violated a cease-fire. The French are preventing air attacks on Benghazi. This coalition is not some evil thing like you want to think it is just because the U.S. is involved. Britain is also launching tomahawk missiles. I don't see you criticizing them.

I've noticed your extreme dislike towards the U.S. is partly because you believe we are expanding our borders. Until we consider the nations we have troops in territories, please stop bitching.
You could say that many nations are trying to 'expand their borders'. Britain and many other nations had troops in the middle east just like we do, considering some nations had thousands of troops stationed there up to last year. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-National_Force_%E2%80%93_Iraq)
But I forgot. America is simply the colossus to the west trying to take over the world.

If Cameron was really doing this because he couldn't stand tyrannical crimes against humanity, the EU would be in a large number of other countries that haven't made it into the news because they are of no financial importance to anybody...

I know US is not alone, the French and the British are with them too. The reason I don't criticize the other nations is because they don't have their armies scattered over the world and the people who debate here are mostly Americans, and the British don't yell about stuff I say. Alright the Brits are at Afghanistan for example but every time US is in the lead, no matter how things seem.

Well they are just helping the US, when you ask people they would say " US owns Iraq and Afghanistan ", they don't say " Currently a Coalition force is there to keep peace ". Try to get out of your American perspective and try a universal one. Only because the Europe has it's facts, Middle East has it's facts and the US has it's own facts does not mean you people must ALWAYS look from an American perspective. That is pure ignorance.
Again, I don't hate US. If I did I would be having a rage here, swearing on you people and yelling about what you people said. If I'd hate US I wouldn't be talking to you guys. I wouldn't try to talk to debate with you guys, share opinions and endure a negative rep swarm. I wouldn't be on this forum. I'd say " This is another piece of shit at the hands of Americans " and leave.
And I agree with embers, if Libya had no economical importance ( Oil ) US, UK or France or anyone else would care.

The U.S. aren't leading this coalition. The French are. You are being ignorant. And this is fucking sanctioned by the U.N. Gadhafi broke a cease-fire. That's why everyone is intervening. All you do is criticize America. You're like a republican.

First wave of missile assault on Libya by the UK, US and France.
David Cameron ordered British forces into action against Libya in “Operation Ellamy”, saying the bombardment was “necessary, legal and right”.
Explosions were reported at an airport east of Tripoli as a British Trafalgar Class submarine and US Navy ships and submarines stationed off Libya fired 110 Tomahawk missiles at 20 targets in what one source described as a “night of carnage”.
The missiles targeted Libyan command and control centres, radar installations and surface-to-air missile sites. Libyan officials said the attacks were “barbaric” and causing civilian casualties.
British Tornado GR4 jets from RAF Marham were poised to attack more sites with Storm Shadow missiles, which can be fired from 200 miles from their target.
The Prime Minister held an emergency meeting with senior ministers and military officers. After a Cobra meeting he said British forces were in action over Libya.

Gadhafi is the nicest dress dictator ever in my opinion. To do all that dressing and be a dictator at the same time. Impressive.
I'm waiting for us to send troops over.

I doubt Obama would do that. Horrible, horrible decision. That would be the start of a war. The American people would not like that at all. Obama has said repeatedly that no infantry will be sent.

But what are the odds that Tomahawks are going to work completely?
Someone is going to end up having to send troops in.
But I agree it would be a horrible for Obama to decide that.

Well, the point of this operation is to "level the playing field," not take out Gadhafi – even though one would expect that to be NATO and the UN's final goal. Obama isn't stupid enough to send troops in; it seems like he's having a hard enough time going along with this military intervention the way it is. As a member of NATO and the UN, with the U.S.'s European allies enthusiastically jumping into this situation, it's not like he has a choice but to go in with them.

I think it'd be cool if France sent in the Foreign Legion. :P But France would probably be the most plausible for sending in infantry since they were like "FUCK YEAH!!!" and sent in the jets and bombed everything.

Someone WILL eventually say " We need more precision to hit pro-Gadhafi targets. Gadhafi's mercenaries are now terrorizing in highly populated areas where our missiles cannot hit them due to the civilian presence there. By this month's end a coalition division will embark on Benghazi and Tripoli to settle things out. "

That, my man, is precision to the extreme. I wouldn't necessarily say they're part of the allies. They're probably Gaddafi's private palace guard.

Military spending needs to go somewhere too. It's already been cast: Gaddafi's going to fall sooner and less bloodier than letting them fight their war on their own.

Maybe Gaddafi should just bend over and take it like a (mad) man now. From how this is looking, it's literally him against the world. I doubt we'll send any foot infantry into the country. Just fire a few tomahawks and we'll act like we're heroes.
