Stupid question...but, does white out do something to your brain or something (like does it act like a drug) because when I kept getting depressed today, I would sniff white out. All of a sudden, I would be giggling and laughing, and my friends kept saying I was acting like a drunk person, because I kept saying things that didn't make sense..... I barely remember what I said today, but it was recorded. When I looked at the video later, the things that I thought were hilarious at the time, turned out to be really stupid. I felt a little queasy afterwards too.
Oh yeah, and I felt like I was floating in the air...
just wondering..
It was pretty stupid, but I did it as a joke at first, but I couldn't stop after I felt like I was floating.
I get the same experiences with sharpie too, but I don't sniff sharpies that often because I feel like I have to throw up after a few seconds...

I've never noticed this myself. But now that i think about it, it does have a smell like spray paint where it could give you a "high" feeling by inhaling the fumes that come from it. i wouldnt reccomend doing it often as it may cause brain damage.

Yes it does contains chemicals harmful to inhale - mainly it obstructs oxygen to the body.
Mostly what it does is to make you slightly dizzy, which leads you to talk funny like a drunk.
Cheap whiteouts, and especially the ones in bottle have more effects than the expensive. They also have more toxic material.
All you are doing is killing active brain cell and tearing your lungs.
3 students died from inhaling the material, back in the 80s.

This is called inhaling solvent fumes. This is quite fucking silly.
Of course it's a drug, it's affecting the way that your body works no? As has been said, it can disrupt how well your blood can carry oxygen causing your brain to spac out a bit. I don't know the exact mechanism of how the solvent actually affects the function of your brain, but as you've experienced, it does.
I wouldn't really recommend you continue to abuse this solvent, long and short terms effects aren't particularly pleasant in some cases. If you feel the need to consume anything, take something natural, not a nasty man-made solvent.

Thanks...and sorry for the stupid question. I researched more on google, and learned more about it. I'm never doing that again....

does this apply to axe body sprays as well?
when i was in the locker room at 8th grade. i saw these people spray a ton of axe on a shirt, breathe it in with their mouth, and smoke-like vapor went out of their mouths and they got really high and stuff.

Perhaps, perhaps not.
It's extremely toxic, and dangerous for you to be inhaling those types of things to begin with, but I believe sometimes it is in your mind too. You pick up the marker, and you think to yourself, I'm going to get some type of high, or reaction to to sniffing this, and you do. Even though naturally, you are only sniffing the toxic marker. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Sort of like being on sugar pills.

No. No, no, no.
No question is EVER stupid (some just possess relatively obvious answers). Asking questions is how you learn. Doing things is another way.
Never feel bad or embarrassed about asking anything on here, it's better than sitting there not knowing :P

As in a placebo effect?
But no. A Marker has a nice scent, but it does not make you high. But unlike the marker, White out/correction fluid does make you high(dizzinies with slight euphoria). However, both are highly toxic. I tried both btw.
