Im getting bored of the same old same old and eant to know if anyone is into any bands with my kind of taste.

I would love to help you out, as I know what it's like wanting something fresh to listen to. But I don't have your taste in music...

Try something like Metric maybe. They might be similar enough.

Start listening to post rock (http://virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=88161). It's a good start for beginners who want to find more interesting music. Although most of it doesn't have vocals, post rock is amazing in terms of how it's crafted and put together.

Also, if you're trying to find similar bands/groups/artists, go to last.fm and scrobble all of your artists and on the front page it will give you recommended groups to listen to.

It's hard to pick favorites but I like Beautiful Bride, Sorrow, Missing and Swept Away.
But listen to anything by them it'll be great.
