This is going to seem odd, but I've forgotten not only the lyrics to a song, but the song's name too. I heard it on the radio about 3-4 weeks ago, and I remember that it was pretty popular about 1 year ago (or at least it came on the radio more). I'll list the details below:
The singer of the song is a man.
The song's genre is basically rock/alternative. Could even be considered soft-rock.
The singer's voice is the main melody and it has guitar in the background playing softly.
This song was known to me as one of the only songs where the singer holds the melody well and seems to never take a breath.
As stated, the singer seems to never take a breath in one of the verses.
The first song that I think is most related (by melody and voice) is "This is How You Remind Me" by Nickelback. So does anyone have any ideas of what this song is? I really need to download it! :)

Then it is probably a song by nickelback, all of their songs sound pretty darn similar.
Or could be one by Three Doors Down? I wish I could help more, pretty vague details :(

No, it's not "You Had a Bad Day." I was thinking it could have been Hinder or Three Doors Down, but like I said, the lead singer in this song seems to not take a breathe or pause for a second in the chorus. I don't think "You Had a Bad Day" could even go in that category, as Daniel Powter takes breathes/pauses between each line.

Okay Im looking through my media player, although I dont have too much popular music in there, even less from a year ago!
Okay maybe Foo Fighters - The Best of You?
Or there is a Three Doors Down Song, Away From the Sun? I dont hear any breaths, maybe Im not listening close enough?
And there is this one song by Fuel called Hemorrhage, kind of sounds like that nickelback song.
Hope this helps!

No, by 'not taking a breath,' I don't mean that you actually hear anyone gasping for air in any other rock song. I just mean that there are no pauses for the singer to breathe.
Though I'll look into those songs and get back to you. Thanks :)
Edit:
All of those songs are very nice! I almost forgot about that Fuel song. Those do help my library a bit, but none of them are the 'target' song :|
I'll try and listen to the radio all I can... Maybe it might come on and I can remember some of the lyrics before it's too late.

Never heard of Spiderbait, but I'm pretty sure it's not Nirvana. I listened to just about every Three Doors Down and Nickelback song on Amazon.com (at least 30 seconds of each).
If this point helps, the singer in the song is not yelling. A lot of Foo Fighter and Nickelback songs have yelling in them, so I'm pretty sure it's not either of them. :|

no thats not off topic its flamming and possibly trolling
if i see it again
i'll delete it
Kiros i dunno man
All I can suggest is sit quietly and think of it the melody first focus on it and then expand try and remember just a few words in the lyrics then do a google search just for the lyrics that'll give you the artist and the song then you can go download it
thats what I do allot
usually takes me a few minutes but I find it

Thanks Cody. That's what I normally try to do, but this one's a hard one... I have no idea... :|
And yes, FreedomFighter, you should not bring up something that's been in my signature for ages now. Next time I see it, or if some global moderator or admin sees it, I expect you'll get at least one infraction. Take this as a warning. :)
