I know iv posted alot this week but i have many questions
if i do decided to tell my therapist about self harm does she have to take it further. she said if i steal something big she has to take it further. (for eg)
i live in england and i am 19 years old if that makes a difference.

My councellor only has to tell my parents if I am in danger, or someone else is in danger. Basically if I say i'm going to kill myself, or I become dangerously underweight, they have to tell my parents. I'm 15 though. Age 19 your parents have no control over you legally. I told my councellor about my Eating Disorder and it hasn't been taken further.

She won't take it further. Even with me, I'm 15 and I've told my therapist about my self harm, suicidal thoughts, and fucked up eating habits, and she hasn't taken it further. If she thinks you're actually planning on killing yourself, then she might have to take it further. With self harm, she won't take it further, I'm 99.9% sure. :P
