Like, say I had a VT user with an email that was "[email protected]", is there a way I could search members by searching an email?

Email addresses are not public therefore not searchable to you all. The closest thing available is an advanced search in the member list (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/memberlist.php?do=search) and entering an IM account. Search will only turn a result though if they actually put the info there.
