It didn't hurt this time?

I sh today and it didn't hurt like it usually does.....does this mean I'm going to stop? Or is it a sign that things are getting worse?

It's like...usually it hurts and I hate it..but this time it didn't hurt...so I did it more.

I guess your body must just be getting used to the pain. I can't say i'm concious of it hurting when I self harm although I know that it does hurt, if that makes any sense. I don't think it means it's getting better or worse, just that you are used to the pain, which could in turn make it worse if it makes you do it more.

it starts to not hurt after you've done it so much. also, if you're cutting over scars i think there must be less nerve endings in scar tissues because it doesnt hurt at all..

if i sh when im really upset it doesnt hurt at all and i usually go a little further than i would other time
but if im calm when i do it it really hurts
it depends how angry i am to how much it hurts me i think
