Abilify

So I just started Abilify with Zoloft. I had to stop taking the concerta, because I was losing too much weight, and they were getting scared. I'm terrified of Abilify. I really hope this doesn't hurt me. Has anyone had a bad experience with it?

Fuck yes I have. When I was in the hospital a long time ago they had me on a few other medications, but when they put me on Abilify I was getting sick as shit. My stomach ached, felt like a zombie, I didn't like that it was fucking my personality either, and I had a horrible side effect where I could move my jaw or neck and I had to get a shot in the ass.

Fuck Abilify. Fuck that stupid fucking shit. Uh, Concerta was making you lose allot of weight? Then you should keep up with a good diet taking it imo.

I was put on it the last time I was in the hospital as well (along with the rest of the psychotic kids actually, which was a huge group). I stopped taking it the day I got out. I had some thyroid and blood pressure issues on it, plus, like deadpie said, it makes you feel like a zombie. Not as bad as lithium, but it's not my favourite feeling. Every five minutes or so I got this fucked up drugged feeling. All I could do was just sit there inattentive through therapy.

Good luck on it though. You should give it a try, anyway. The only two medications I ever refused at some time on the spot were depakote (because my mum had really bad side-effects on it) and lithium. It's good to try different medications however until you get on the right one, because you won't know until you try.
