Get yourself some Midol, or something. The cramps you get during your period are to prepare you for the pain that comes with childbirth, so sometimes it's good to tough them out.

I have really bad period cramps too, but I find that painkillers don't relieve the pain, they just make me feel sick/sleepy. Exercise is said to be good for period pains. Heat is also recommended - a hot water bottle or something similar.

Hope this helps you out ^^

Mine are sometimes just awful.
Exercise really does help, as long as its not too strenuos and heat helps.
Also painkillers can often help even if it just reduces the pain , hope this has helped :)

Painkillers
Hot-water bottle/Heat pad/Something hot overall
Exercise
Relax
Try to sit/lie in different positions (especially foetal position)
Try birth-control pills
Acupuncture
Do something that makes you forget about it (if you can).

There's a whole bunch of metods you could test, it's just about finding what works for you! (:

Maybe.. set a time limit on a couple of months, and if you don't find something that helps for you, go to a doctor! Then you can get other tips or a prescription for some strong painkillers.

Hold on, I hope you'll find something!

I know that it doesn't sound overly flattering but if you masturbate to orgasm it will help releave the cramp. I know that it's hard to get into your mind to masturbate while you're on your period but if you can orgasm it's releaved some of the worst cramps for me.

I've heard banana's help. I odn't know if they work though, becuase I don't really get bad cramps.

I've also heard that dairy actually makes period pains worse.

Here are some really helpful tips from a well known website, which I have found work for me when it's TOTM.......I hope it may help you as well.

1. Reduce your consumption of salt, sugar and caffeine during the week before your period to prevent cramps or reduce their severity.

2. Increase your intake of calcium-rich foods such as milk, yogurt or leafy green vegetables.

3. Keep in mind that a high-potency B-complex vitamin may help if you're susceptible to menstrual cramps. Vitamin B 6 is especially important, but don't take more than 100mg per day.

4. Apply heat to your muscles when cramps occur. Take a hot bath or place a hot water bottle on your abdomen or lower back.

5. Get moving. Sitting or lying around may actually make you feel worse. Swimming and walking are good activities because they are gentle and not too stressful. Certain stretches and yoga positions will also help to relieve the pain.

6. Avoid standing for long periods if you have pain in your lower back.

7. Massage your lower back to relieve tension and pain.

8. Take ibuprofen or naproxen to help relieve cramps.

9. Take a break, breathe deeply and listen to soothing music.

Okay I don't have my period yet but I would suggest to you a pillowcase full of rice (heat it in the microwave). This normally helps me when I get cramps (non-period :P). Hope this helps! ~Caitlin

Have you tried using heating pads? That should relieve the pain a little.
