Here is the thing: Build me a pc that costs around 1200-800$ that has a decent performance and workout the most recent games nicely.

Of course it must have all the vital parts: motherboard, cpu, ram, gfx card, s-card, drive, hdd, case with a cooling system and power box. And make sure the parts match, in the sense that this mb can have only this type of ram and the like.

Brand and manufacturing companies does not matter. Also the retailer does not matter.

Oh and each poster is allowd for two systems to built. And you can later debate why your pc is better(And I know shit about pcs, so please tell me what those extra stuff means).

You're welcome.

That guide sux! Read ' this guide -x bad stuff'

I really have fixed my eyes on phenom x4. According to some reviews, their performance are slightly less than i7 yet 4 times cheaper.

Shit guide. Out of date due to the price cuts on all pre sandybridge i7s and pre 6000 radeon cards.

the performance is alot less than an i7. Phenom II x6 will get you close to an i7 but still not very.

Go intel, i dont normally recommened intel but for your budget you want performance and stability.

i7 is too expansive. i'd pick phenom.

Man, I was living with intel for a while. First was celeron, and currently P4(can you believe it!).

I am not looking for top performance. I am looking for something that can work nicely. Hey, I was using celeron(2002 model), people.

in that case then go for a Phenon II 1055T

itll do what you need :)

I think that'll do. 1090T is too much.

I will get an Asus(or may Gigabytes or some other guy with 2 fans) GTX560Ti - It's cheap and it has 30 percent less performance(whatever that is)than those top notch gfxc.

An Elite 430 case is good with a 750 watt antec. Samsung is fine with me.

I will buy a fast 250 gb hdd(saving money). And I have no idea what an ssd is.

The only thing left is a mother board.

It should have an am3 socket with Sli feature. Help plz.

Why do you need SLI for one Nvidia card?

Why do you need SLI for one Nvidia card?

Let us suppose that I have extra money, when in a later date, I want to add one more card. But then again, new cards comes, right? But I still need an sli.

Most of the am3 boards are crossfire, and I am not comfortable with Ati cards.

the only board to offer 2 x16 PCIe slots needed for SLi wont fit your budget im afraid

if you go with SLI on a board with 2 PCIE slots at x8 bandwidth it would only give you the performance of one card.

add that to the fact very little games support SLI and XFIRE are the moment, its not worth it, spend the extra money on a faster single card.

Like gtx 580 and 6990. I will stick with my money saving 560Ti for the moment.

And right. I don't know what Ram is the best and cheapest.

And what are ssds? And why do some people bundle them up with hdds?

the 6990 is alot faster than the 580 but you dont feel comfatable with ATI cards for some uknown reason.

Geil 4GB DDR3 kits are cheap and fast.

SSDs are really fast HDDs. theres no moving parts in an SSD so therefore the data can be accessed faster.

So they are best used as the system storage. I see.

no, you should never use an SSD for storage.

Only your OS and possibly your most played game should go on there.

All other programs and files should be installed on a normal HDD

I hate to throw a wrench in your plan, but if you're going to get a quad-core processor, I'd still go with Intel. It doesn't have to be a Core i7, you can get a Core i5 for waaay cheaper than a Core i7, and have it in about the price range of a Phenom II. Not to mention an Intel quad-core will out perform an AMD quad-core any day.
And having an Intel based system, will give you a bit more freedom when it comes to multi-GPU arrangements.
Though, AutoPlay is right, you really don't need to waste money on a SLI setup, as you most likely won't notice a damn thing. Spend it instead on a really nice GTX 460 (Or hell, 560), and that card will be able to handle damn near any game you throw at it (And look good doing it too :p )

WTF are you gonna do with the parts if you don't know anything about computers? :?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put a computer together.
The parts were made with the computer illiterate in mind. The parts can only go in one place, and in one direction. It's damn near impossible to put something where it doesn't belong.

That's what I ment by system storage. :p

It's basically a juiced 460, I think.

Whoops, I could have swore I read "Phenom II X4" somewhere.
Nevermind then. :p

If you're getting a hexacore then yeah, go AMD.
I thought you were getting a quadcore, which is why I suggested an Intel Core i5.

Beh, because of low or no demand for amd processor, all I could find is a phenom II quadcore 955(not even black edition). So I guess I have to in with an i5 as I have been suggested.

I wanted a Gigabyte 560Ti, but all I got is mostly evga and Asus. I am going for Asus, it was cheaper, with a rebate and discount, I can get it at its exact price.
