Ok, I'm sure not many people will reply to this, but what the hell.
I like buying albums that come in packaging that's different from a boring jewel case with a booklet. So I'm wanting to know if you guys have bought any albums with cool special packaging and such.

The only one i've bought was a Pink Floyd live CD that came in a CD box rather than a case and had LED lights going around it.

My mam had a Sex Pistols complete collection when she was a teenager. It folded down off a hook, that you'd have on the back of your door or whatnot. It is pretty epic.

I love good and versatile cover art. I personally don't own anything like this, but I like to change the covers of my CDs by folding the booklets around to display some internal art. If I ever become a musician, which I hope to, imma mess about with cover art major-style.

I thought the packaging for In Rainbows was pretty cool, with the stickers n' shit. I think more albums should be sold in that cardboard pocket format.
The Beatles remasters were also pretty cool, with the cleaned and brightened album art, full booklets and original vinyl record labeling reproduced on the CD.
Other than that, I don't have many interesting CD cases.

I actually remember seeing that video from a while back... Rhymesayers had some decent looking packaging for Atmosphere's album too.
What about that one vinyl you showed me? Get that shit yo. :P

Teehee...sorry, it had to be done.

I have a few Bon Jovi CDs that came in the cardboard packaging, and came with laminated reproductions of tour passes from that era which I thought was really cool.

I don't have anything too cool like that. The Dresden Dolls albums however, aesthetically, are my favourites of my collection. Then comes Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals.
Wonder.

I have a record. Amanda Palmer Performs The Popular Hits Of Radiohead On Her Magical Ukulele.
...
Don't laugh, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album is a tri-fold. And cotton candy scented.

Bustin' a nut. You obviously don't want to break the packaging to the first one, sense that thing below the album is a bag of ocean water.
