question about hair growth, help please

i always thought i was really hairy, (and i was quite proud of it lol) but recently ive seen a few of my mates topless (or swimming e.t.c) and they all have loads more hair on their stomachs than i do, you can see ive got hair but only faintly. will it grow back darker if i shave it? btw im nearly 18

First of all, your mates are hairy and they're in swimming? :lol: I'd give anything to be as hairless as normal boys, though.. People tell me I should be proud of my hairiness, but alas..

I'm happy not being hairy for what its worth.

No shaving doesn't affect hair growth (http://www.realself.com/question/does-shaving-make-your-hair-grow-back-thicker-and-faster) : you are just cutting dead cells. (Unlike if you wax or pluck which can damage the follicles and weaken growth.)

Basically I'd say just go with what you have (or don't) : seems to me lots of hairy guys would love to be less hairy and I guess its just human nature to think we'd be better off if some little detail or other changed, where really, its not going to matter.

I think I prefer not being really hairy on my stomach, I would like it if I just stayed with little hair, so far all I got is my happy trail and I'm glad with what I got. No it won't grow back darker if u shave it
