how to talk 2 ur folks

Its not that hard, really, when i talked to my parents and i told them i was feeling depressed, they were more worried about me than anything, they didn't look at me like i was insane. Your parents care about you, they will do anything to make you happy again

If your really ready to get help for your depression then just come out and tell them. Just let them know that you think your depressed and you want to get some help. Please go get some help and don't let fear stop you. Good luck and please keep us updated.

i told my mom that i needed counseing cause i thought i had depression yes i do have depression, the thing is they'll love u no matter what and should understand

I think the first step is to find a time when you can talk with them about how you've been feeling in general, to share with them that you've been unhappy and depressed, maybe tell them why and for how long.

If that convo goes well, if they respond to this info with the concern that it sounds like they should, then they'll most likely ask if you want to see a doctor. If not, then you can ask.

But, be prepared to talk openly about yourself and the way you've been feeling, give them the info they need to make the right judgement.

What you need to do is sit them down and say "Mom, Dad I think I'm depressed..."

Honestly they wont overreact they should be concerned and most likely ask if you would like to see someone.
