Like, lifting weights? I've heard it's bad to start at this age.

EDIT: Wrong section, should be in the Sports and Fitness.

You can do it, but i would wait until you're older to take supplements to help. I workout and use weights but do not use a supplement, i dont wanna be a body builder just get muscle.

Just make sure that you don't over do it. It doesn't really matter how much you are lifting, just that you stay within your limits. But the opposite is true also. I mean, if your going to work out, don't lift way below your ability because that sort of just defeats the purpose.
And stay away from steroids! There are kids in my school that do steroids and they are putting on too much weight every week. This obe kid looks almost sort of weird because of the muscle. And they get really aggressive an have all kinds of mood swings. It's crazy!

Really, this "too young to work out" bullshit isn't true. Just don't go past your limits (500lb leg press is NOT a good idea) and you're fine.

You have to be 14 to go to the gym my dad belongs to. I don't know if that's due to physical development or some other legal rule.

I work out every night. Healthy. I do a lot of wrist curls since my forearms/wrists are skinny.

As far as age goes, its usually a good idea to wait till 8th grade-freshman yearish to start lifting weights. Or just whenever puberty really sets in

its not bad to lift wieghts when you're 15. but it is possible (and bad) to lift wieghts too much because it can hurt your muscles. don't worry though, it take a lot to do that.

don't forget to feel the burn.

Yes, 15 is in the optimal range to start working out.

As have been said before, don't take supplements and steroids, even multivitamins. Get your nutrients from food.

Next, don't go beyond your limits i.e don't strain yourself and use heavy weights and or many reps all too soon, gradually you will able to do nice later on. Free weights, macines, or rubbers, they all work the same way, but it is in up to you which one you like.

Drink plenty of water and try not to get DOMS.

Yeah, you ideally wanna start working out as you finish puberty, because that's when the type of body that you'll have for the rest of your life is set out (endomorphic, ectomorphic, mesomorphic). Just make sure that you don't just lift weights, do some running, cycling, swimming, etc. Also, make sure that you're not working out all the time, do 4 days a week at the most, so that you don't screw up your muscles. And try to alternate between upper body and lower body, doing a harder day for each and an easier day for each. That should be the best thing to do if you wanna get long-term health out of your workout

Lifting weights is not bad for you but you just gotta know your limits and start off low with small reps and small sets and gradually build on them, along with the weights.

yeah its healthy, its only dangerous if you lift like REALLY heavy, cause then it could stunt your growth, but if you just do normal weights you be fine.

the correct answer to this question is yes and no. it's unhealthy to workout to work out unless you are working out to a point that you are hindering natural growth, which does happen. since at 15 you are still growing, you don't want to cause joint issues. as long as you aren't trying to become huge and amazingly over buff, you'll be fine. i personally work out and i'm 14. my doctor told me what i just told you. they said it all has to do with weight and strain on joints. so basically, be careful.

OP posted this in March.
Was it /really/ necessary to bump this from June?
