Protectionism in terms of import/export duties have no place in the global economy. However, many governments achieve the same ends by simply taxing corporate income. I'm far from well versed on this issue but I do know that tariffs are an outdated form of protectionism.

Honesty i want to say i favor free trade but i don't have the money to pay for it so i say if i had enought money free trade other wise protectionism just for convenience, this doesn't make me a bad person it makes me practical

Hunh? Protectionism makes things more expensive.
