I tried.
I tried not to cut. Sure, I've been doing less, but I always slip up. Many of my friends cut themselves, so its pointless to try and stop thinking about doing it. The release I get.. its too much. I cant pass it up. When i cut, I I finally feel numb. Like everything will be okay. I wanna go back to cutting everyday. It's been about a week since I've cut with a razor. Ive gotten so desperate that took the scissors my teacher gave me and cut my wrist with it until I saw blood.

I'm pathetic. Sorry, rant.

Then stop paying attention to what your friends do. If they cut, that's there problem, and you should concentrate on YOUR problem. I don't mean that to sound mean and/or cold but when it comes to a group of people who self-harm you can't focus on everyone else. It just brings you down more than you need it to and keeps your mind always thinking about cutting.

You are NOT pathetic and it's okay to rant, we all need to. But feeling numb is not exactly the best way to go about life. You want to feel something, even though at this moment you don't think so. I'm sure all of us can relate a bit to the feeling you get from cutting. It's nice to feel the horror that's in our minds disappear for a little while but, if you think about it, you end up regretting it later. Maybe not right now but you're going to. Those scars are always going to remind you. And it sucks.

But you can always talk to us instead of choosing to cut. Or talk to a friend, family member. Substitute cutting with something else! Ice, rubber bands, etc. I'm not sure what else to say though.

But don't forget were always here for you! And lord knows an open ear is better then a blade (:

I went to school and saw a kid with a rubber band, and I asked him for it. i snapped it a lot on my wrist. All of it was red. But it made me feel better.
Thanks:)
