so i have a mustache and a few hairs on my chin. the mustache is sorta noticeable under some lighting conditions, and several people have pointed it out. should i shave it off? and how should i ask my dad for showing me how to do it? i dont just want to walk up to my dad and demand a razor and instructions on how to use it.

well shave it off if you want too, most people probably wouldn't care if you got a mustache or not and just ask him, he shouldn't fell embarrassed by it

Ask him or buy your own razor and some shaving cream. Start from the top and shave downwards.

Just be casual about it and ask for one, I tried to hide shaving from my dad and he found out and he wasn't embarrassed at all to help me after all, they even bought me my own electric shaving kit.

If you want to do it. dont be afraid to ask. i was afraid at first but i asked my dad casually and he was fine with it, kinda proud actually. either ask for one or get one with ur own money :)

I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help you out :) If not, just buy an electric shaver if you have the money - it'll be easier. If you don't have the money, as the others have said it's pretty cheap to grab some cream and a razor then you can check how to shave with it on the net (Google or a section in my puberty guide which is stickied in this forum)

Once you start shaving it, you're going to have to keep shaving more. It will cause the other smaller hairs on your face to start growing.

Use your dads razor, it's not a big deal.

don't use your mum's as she has probably already shaved her legs with the blade and it will cause irritation and you will more then likely cut yourself

Just because a few people told you to get rid of it doesn’t mean you have to go out of your way to shave. And its not like you have a lot of hair there. If you don’t want to shave those few hairs then that’s fine. :-) All the girls in my class ask my when I am going to shave my mustache and my "beard", lol. But yes, if you want the proper instructions go to your dad and he will gladly show you. Even better, if you have and older brother, he could show you as well. Personally I like to stick with the electric shavers not the cream and razor.

Haha, bout to write this.

Yeah, look, when you start shaving people say "don't, CID then it grows faster". It doesnt, it just gets thicker and more noticeable. But if you don't shave, it will still grow, just not as strong.

You're wrong too. It doesn't get thicker either. Nothing happens to it at all.

Oh yes most def. I know this is going to sound weird, but go with the grain. Never go against it cuz it causes irratation.

Ask your dad and or brother, if neither agrees take it upon yourself and buy a razor and shaving cream. It's not that hard really just takes practice :)

Its real easy one you know how to do it. I do in in like a minute and a half. Just ask him to help. Its no big deal. Haha

YES PLEASE SHAVE..
MY pet peeve.
Its pretty straight forward
Shave down, once you get good you can shave up for a closer cut
never shave sideways, best way to cut yourself
Take it slow too.
