ok so my family arent like the kind of family who sits around a table for dinner or goes out on the weekends. this is mostly due to my mum working shifts but its also because my sister doesnt want to spend any time with our family. if we ask her if she wants to go the mall with us she says no most of the time and when she says yes she like gets there and goes to look at her own stuff. the only time we really spend lots of time together is at christmas. how can i get my family to be more loving?

Plan ahead. Find a day where all of you are together, and plan to do it. I agree, sometimes when families are really busy, when parents have to work, and things like that, it's hard to find time to spend some time together. You just have to plan ahead. Write on the calender, this is the day we are going to go out as a family and do something. Go out to eat, go out to cinema, or something like that. Talk to your mother and tell her you want to spend time together, and you want to take a day out and plan something. Even though she might be busy, you just have to plan things out. I'm sure she would be willing to go along with it. The same goes for your sister, I'm sure you can find something that all of you can do together. Just find a day which is comfortable for everyone, just so you guys can spend a little time together.

Your family is exactly like mine. Coincidence! I think you should find some time when everyone is not too busy and have that day to hang out. Go to a small area so your sister isn't tempted to go somewhere else.

My family used to be like this. As stupid as what I'm about to say is probably going to sound, but a family game night actually is pretty fun. It lets you hang out with your family and spend time with them that you wouldn't otherwise. Since my brother moved out I really do miss him at these nights but he visits from time to time when we do em so I get to hang out with him then.
