Documentation

I write on recycled paper
recycled ideas not my own…
Hoping to recycle emotion
Within another.

I am bound in expression;
Incapable of originality and
Lost in synonyms –
I hope only to inspire comfort.

Yet, should I not craft clichés,
I would only isolate myself
In spare minutes, singing to
my beat; unknown to others.

Then, at the end of the day,
I would rest my head and
Recycle the day in brief clips,
Unable to recycle the details.

So I sit here, hand
On recycled sheets,
Hoping that white canvas
Can hold that which my mind can’t.
