Yay or Nay for this prom dress?

So Im looking for prom dresses and I found one I really like in my price range, but I'm worried its not right for a prom.
A lot of prom dresses I see are bright colors and like, shiny fabrics. Which I'm not really a fan of.
I know proms in different places are different but I was hoping people could tell me if they thought the dress (http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?type=id&q=d226510&ru=27704967)was too fancy for a college prom.

I don't think that'd be too fancy for a prom. You don't need to have a bright stand-out dress everyone else gets if you don't like that. Wear what you like, it's what prom's about. Wear something you love!

It's a beautiful dress but i'm not sure that the length of it will be appropriate for the occasion. It depends if you're prom has a theme wherein you can wear cocktail dresses then sure, wear it. Just make sure that the pink-ness of it will look good with your skin tone :D
