I know I have a lot of time still, but I'm trying to focus on my careers now.
How do you choose between two jobs you really want to do?

Well, do research. Look up videos of your career. Find out which one makes more money. Which one requires less, or more years of college. Which one do you see yourself more in. Find out what classes you need to take in High School for that career.

Look at your interests and think about the different careers that you'd think you have the most passion in. Think about what type of career you'll love for your whole career life, not one you'd get bored in and dread going to everyday. It all comes down to the career you'd be best in, but captures your attention right away. Everything about that certain career.

Both of these replies will definitely help you.
Another thing you could consider is getting some work experience in the field you want to go in. I'm not sure how things are in the US, but in England if you ask around your contacts then there's a possibility you could get to spend a few days in the working environment you were considering. Of course it's not always possible depending on what it is you want to do - but there's nothing better than seeing how it is first hand.

Well, the two jobs are really similar. Being a nurse in the NICU or neonatal unit. Or, being a nurse in the maternity ward that takes care of the newborn (ex: weighs them, cleans them off, feeds them, changes their diapers)

Well with those two jobs you can really do both if you're qualified for one you are qualified for the other as a nurse. So you wouldn't really have to do much choosing you can try one and then change to the other if you don't like it.
Just give them both a try and who knows maybe you wont like either and just become a regular nurse in the ER.
